Probably the 60s. The music changed radically, and so many cool things happened, like people landing on the moon and Woodstock.

Here's a video I'm sure @Guifrog will appreciate:
My grandma puts on music from the 60's all the time. Music back then was way better than the music in this day and age. It's too repetitive and every song sounds the same :(
The poor kid almost got the frog in his mouth! Everytime he hears a croak, he's going to have some PTSD because of that moment lol

That's a gross oversimplification. There's plenty of modern artists with good, unique sounds.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend! I guess I should say that it's just not usually my thing. I'm sure there are some good music artists out there somewhere :)

Blinding Lights by The Weeknd is probably my most recent favorite.

I'm not offended, I'm just tired of hearing it. If you're looking for something different, there's plenty of variety out there. My two favourites right now are White Lies and Young Mister. You may also want to check out Lord Huron if you like that 60s rock aesthetic.

Played this board game tonight, and it was really fun: (for 2-4 players)

Ranks up there in my top 10 board games. You go about completing various objectives of planting, growing and eating bamboo, with a cute 'lil Panda Bear. (And a farmer) Not too thinky, but enough strategy to make it a good game for most everyone:

...if ya see this used/cheap, it's a good one!

And on my list, once I get 'furry board game meet night' started...

...I really, really love to hang out, talk, and play games in person, and hope to get a group together. It's a good way to break the ice, too.

It really is! Have wanted it for ages, and found it used, at a thrift store, for $5. Oh, happy day : P

It's a great game to play with people who aren't die-hard board-gamers, but also one that has just enough strategy to keep it exciting...and it goes at a nice speed. Some other games of a similar "easy to learn/fun to play" sort would be:

-Carcassonne
-Splendour

...and they take little setup. Games that I also like, but take somewhat longer to learn/set up, would be:

-Stone Age
-Catan

...but all good ones for a gaming night : )

Do you have any games ya like to play? I love a game that plays well, but also, am a sucker for nice art, and a cool theme.

Oh boy.. I have many.. Mostly Dungeon Crawlers.

Heroquest
Advanced Heroquest
Dungeon Saga
King of Tokyo
Mice and Mystics plus expansions (Epic Furry boardgame)
Zombicide Black Plague
Massive Darkness
Arcadia quest
Vikings gone wild
Epic spell wars of the battle wizards
Descent 2nd edition

That's a few off the top of my head.
Me and @Silvear are boardgame nerds.

Ah, that's a nice list!

Have Mice and Mystics, and one expansion: that sure is a cute game :) And a perfect furry game. Who doesn't love a cooperative game where you're adorable little mice, fighting off spiders, roaches and other gross critters!
...and have King of Tokyo. It really is quite a golden age, for board games; there's SO many games that have come out in the past decade alone, it can get a bit overwhelming. I really wanna pick up:

-Imhotep
-Ticket to Ride (been around a while, but still want this)
-Dungeon Petz (the art....*swoons*)

But more than anything, wanna get a group together, in person, to play games with...

Ah! My knowledge of Denmark is spotty...I just know that it appears to be a comfortable, liberal paradise, with cool modern furniture, stylish cities, and authors like Hans Christian Anderson and The Baroness Blixen. (Isak Dinesen)...I probably have a somewhat idealized image, to be sure, but it certainly seems pleasant : )

Welp our city is where Hans Christian Andersen was born and grew up. (His house is a museum.) Otherwise you're are not entirely wrong with how you see Denmark hehe. It does have its share of problems like any place though.

On my list of places to see! And I do really love Anderson's tales. I think my favorite one has to be about The Storks, in which there is a family of storks, that nest near the chimneys, and as the mother stork teaches the little storks to fly, the storks are bullied by these neighborhood boys, and one is particularly mean, hurling stones, and such: but the mother storks forbids the little storks from diving at them, and attacking, and the mean boy continues to be mean, and when the storks fly south and then return the next year, they have grown strong, and it is time for them to deliver babies to the village (as storks do), but to the family of the mean boy, they deliver a dead baby, and so, he has no brother. There is something stirring in the simple yet rather profound nature of his works, the strange and at times brutal workings of fate.

I think this attitude can also be seen in Blixen's work, to a degree, and it makes me curious as to other Danish authors. (was an English major/writing/world/American lit)

Don't have a cafe so much around here, but there is a game shop nearby that has a huge play area and a sizable book shelf packed with a bunch of games.

That's always handy! No cafe here, but have a little gaming store, that has decent table space, and a really nice selection for the size of the place. It's pretty remote here, so it's lucky to have these kinds of things.
