This is why I have an old computer on my TV and some different USB controllers.
For example, I have an adaptor to plug in original Sega Mega Drive (Genesis for you 'Muricans ) controllers on computer. Sonic Mania never felt so right playing it that way

I honestly just prefer original hardware. Kinda sucks that PAL stuff is so much harder to find and usually expensive, but that's why I get my consoles region-free.

I do collect real hardware too of course, have a lot of stuff between Atari and PS3 era ^^
But I try out lot of stuff first on emulator
