Speaking of dragons, there were the four in the game 'The Longest Journey'. One was power mad, the other two were more advisers, and the last was a protective spirit. If you haven't played it I highly recommend it.

They are a welcome rare exception, yes, but it'd be nice to get some as legit characters and not glorified plot coupons.What about the dragons in Spyro 1?
Their neither terrifying monsters nor cuddly.
Some of them are artists, some of them workers, etc. ^^

*hugs tight back*I have a lot of dragon related books from when I was a kid and I've always loved them. One of them's a book of traditional stories involving dragons, there are some really deep and lovely ones in that.
Also, I think there's another common dragon archetype, the brooding/wise dragon.
This one's a main character in Ozy and Millie, my all time favourite web comic!

Oh yeah, I have quite a few myself, but I typically have to actively hunt for them. It's hard to find dragon stories that are a. good, b. the dragon is a dragon, not a human in a dragon costume, and c. the dragon is a legit character, not a plot coupon or an obstacle (nothing wrong with dragons being villains, just make them an actual character and not a one dimensional evil evil guy, looking at you Nicol Bolas).Nononono, I'm good!!
