Oof, right.. all this celery is going to my head.

Oh wow, you're doin' it right.. that's inspiring~

Thanks! It was something of a New Year's resolution, to not eat processed foods, and cook/make healthy things...it's so easy to fall into bad eating habits, and I certainly had more than I'd wanted to, back when I was working, with that long train commute, and trapped in the bubble of what was available on campus, where I worked. And it is fun to cook, all in all; can be very relaxing.

Cooking is kind of fun after awhile! I changed my diet and lost a bunch of weight awhile back, but had to relearn how to cook. I'm kinda falling back into the trap of carby staples now and am having to make a change again.
Tonight I'm planning on cutting up a cabbage into thin strips and then cooking it with rice wine vinegar, and maybe throwing in some sauteed veggies.
So *highpaw*, maybe we can hold each other to it >.>

Sounds good! And sure, we can bug each other, to stay on track : ) One things I am really trying to cut way back on are fats: carbs come in for a lot of vilification, certainly, and I've tried to moderate those, too...I guess it's a matter of keeping them all in balance. I don't think I'd ever be able to do a diet, where I had to cut out all of one thing; I like a variety of cuisine way too much! I have lost 6 pounds, so far; my goal is to lose 25 pounds; I had ballooned to 160, and am now about 154, with 135 being the goal. (I am only 5'6", so this would give me a good BMI) My target is to lose a pound a week...once it warms up, I can also ramp up the exercise. You know, getting out in the woods, and chasing foxes, and stuff :p

If I was 160 I'd be a rail :p
I'm 5'11" and am in the 190s, that's down from 275 starting years ago when I began, but up from 180 which was my lowest. I never quite lost it all and if I could get myself into the 170s that'd be neat..
Olive oil and avocados are my only real fats I take in (occasional chips and coconut cream too), but I have a problem with bread, pasta and rice forming the base of every meal that I need to take care of.
I'll be interested to hear what you come up with because I need inspiration for wholesomeness without so much grain!

I wish I could say something on the matter, but real life me is so much different than a Spotted Skunk.
Not me, I look exactly like a fox. :p

I'm verrrry thin...although my belly has been starting to grow moderately larger as of late. My family wants me to get fatter...go figure.
Seems like everybody wants to go one direction or the other. It's always good to strive to be healthier but we should remember to have a good dose of body positivity too ^^

This is the image which came to my mind:p

Cool!
My build was one of the reasons I chose a fox too. Quite thin and angular, no matter how much I eat:p

Well since we're talking about it.

I'm going to try to lose a little weight this year, (I haven't been brave enough to try the scales yet) but I'll be looking to lose about 1lb a week until I get back under 13 stone.

I just looked up how much a stone is : )

A pound a week is a good goal, I think: in the range of the healthy and possible. Also, it seems easy to gain a bit in the winter; hibernation, and all.

Hehe, that's true!
Yes, no need to overdo it one way or the other and no need to be hard on oneself^^:)
True, true.
(I especially like the girl on the left. She's cute)

That's very true!!
We come in all shapes and sizes, embrace it!!:D
And I imagine this is even more true in the fury community, as animals come in all shapes and sizes too!!

If my build had more to do with it I'd probably be a marmot or a opossum- not big, not little, just squeezable :D
I've got red scruff and long red hair, and am partial to 'cozy' weather (hence flannel)

She looks healthy and as long as that's the case she's golden :)

I weigh about 225 lbs. That's about 16 stone for @TR273 . I'm built like a box. I am right at 6'1". That's 185 cm and 102 kg for my metric friends. I had gotten down to 202 lbs about 20 years ago and the doctor told me I was overweight. I challenged the doctor to pinch any fat on me and he couldn't, so he was like, yeah... muscle weighs about 20% more than fat, so you're OK. Anyway, I could stand to lose 20 to 30 pounds myself. it wouldn't hurt.

It does seem that emerging from winter brings about thoughts of dieting...guess it means we are thinking about swimsuit season : )

My body size is probably just a tad bit slimmer than average (124 lbs at 5' 6"), but given my somewhat short stature, I look pretty average unless I'm stretching or something. I also have longer legs (if you see a guinea pig's back legs while they're extended, you'll get why I feel that it's a similarity. I feel like I'm not too dissimilar to a guinea pig in terms of physical appearance (I also have a big nose, so that's another similarity, haha). I wanted to be a species that, if I wanted to ever get a fursuit, I'd look pretty natural in :D
Even Guinea Pigs are getting ready for swim season!!!!

You bet we are!
*jumps into a lake
to go for a night swim*
In all seriousness (and to throw out a fact), though, that's a big no-no! We're good swimmers, but we hate to get wet! It's still a cute picture, but as a guinea pig owner (and self-acclaimed specialist), it makes me angry at the people holding them there lol. They have to be able to touch the ground, or they feel very uncomfortable :(
Most rodents (aside from capybara), feel this way, so if anyone is looking to get a rodent, keep this in mind! They clean themselves, and baths are only necessary in very rare occasions :)
