Unburnt high-sulfur diesel fuel. At least, that's the blend that the RCAF Snowbirds use. Awful for the environment, but generally considered acceptable since it's done with such low frequency.

The Federal Council declared a national emergency.
Stores that aren't important, bars, restaurants etc have to close. Private and public events are prohibited.
The army is mobilised to help the hospitals and logistics. This is the biggest mobilisation in Switzerland since WW2!
Borders are closed.

Well, here in Michigan, all restaurants, bars, casinos, libraries, schools and college are closed; went to town to deposit a check, and things were pretty deserted...and on the US level, what a mess. The screeching orange baboon in chief has more than dropped the ball on this one, telling governors in a conference today that they were on their own, as far as finding respirators, ventilators and hospital equipment; meanwhile the Dow fell almost 10% in a single day, despite interest rates having been cut to a range of 0 to .25% over the weekend...not looking really rosy, to say the least.
Am gonna go get cat food here, and maybe take a walk around Fife Lake; as it warms up, it'll be nice to get out and explore the natural surroundings...something to do that doesn't involve contacting people and will give a chance to see the outdoors. And when the lakes unfreeze, we can go canoeing and innertubing, on the rivers. At least nature does not seem poised to close down : P

Nature is the cure
Have been walking outside too today, to a point where I had a good view. From there I was able to see Germany. Was a strange feeling, looking at a country I could usually just walk in but now it's closed.
Well, together we'll manage to fight that, I'm sure. Stay safe, be careful and most importantly, stay optimistic guys. The times are hard but time will pass
