I just wanted to come on for a minute before I crashed. I was reading the news and they say there is a drug cocktail they are testing that has shown great promise. It is made from drugs already tested to not be harmful. It is a combination of an anti-malarial drug and another drug that supresses the virus' ability to replicate. Apparently, the reason older people are dying is because their immune systems are better because they have been exposed to more stuff over their lifetime and know a foreign body better than a younger person's immune system. I know it sounds backwards, but what happens is that the immune system "goes crazy" trying to kill the virus and this is what is causing the pneumonia. The anti-malaria drug supresses the immune system some so that it doesn't go crazy when the virus shows up and cause all the lung damage. The other part of the cocktail makes it hard for the virus to replicate. Tests have shown that people taking the drugs are virus free in five days and don't have the severe symptoms. They even say that it can be taken as a preventative. The doctors say that the test results look good and that the odds against this being just a fluke in early testing are 10,000 to one. I hope this makes everyone glean a little hope from this situation. *Hugs to all and be safe*

That is a great discovery and a step forward into dealing with this virus. Thank you so much for this information, this makes me really happy. Let's hope this remedy gets distributed to more people and then everyone as we keep discovering more things and solve this soon.

Be safe you too.

*Hugs you really tightly*

Another night of me futilely trying to stop Elias from drinking all of our beer and going into an alcohol-induced coma, while making you bankrupt in the process. I think we ought to hire security for our security lol. Or maybe a shock collar?
Good night, though! I'll do my best :D
This is what I call dedication :)

But if Elias drinks all our beer, we should do something. Maybe @Ravofox should talk to him ^^

Sounds like a cytokine storm. Very tragic. But, very wonderful news to hear there may soon be a drug which can help save the most seriously affected. *hugs very tight*

Sorry for not being around much, been busy with uni stuff...and my phone's about to die:confused:

*one of my antlers falls off from the stress;)*
