Ravofox

back to Aussie foxying!
No problem! Thanks for reading!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I started off looking at how to do the A380, but it made more sense to do it as a 2-part and start with the 747. The A380 will be tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on how long I care about studying.

That's one of my favourites too! "Wunala Dreaming" and Singpore's "Tropical Megatop" are two of the best 747 liveries ever done.

Of course.

*Hands you $9.95 in KFC coupons*

Yes, that does make a lot of sense! You can't really understand the A380 without understanding the 747. And I'm so glad that's the way you decided to do it!:D
ooh, thankies!!!!:D

Here are some other Qantas liveries from the era, for anyone who's interested:

This last one's a bit tragic. The 777 that wore the lower livery (9M-MRD) was the one shot down as MH17.

Pretty!!!:)

Shame the A380 never became widespread. IIRC, it became available just after the late 2000s financial crisis

Yeah it's a shame, it's such a magnificent aeroplane. They'll be around for another decade or so though:)

There was that, but it just never made sense from a financial standpoint regardless of the economy. Even the 747's sales were driven by image and status so airlines had a flagship to advertise. Boeing couldn't build a case for the 500 to 700 variants, and it was all but guaranteed to end production by the time the 400 variant rolled around.

Ah, well i guess we'll get to see all about that in the next part:D
Oh, btw, was Japan Airlines the only one which had 747s with seats for over 500 people?

Also, quick fact, the largest number of people on a single flight in history was 1,122 (yes, that many) on an El Al 747 in 1989, transporting persecuted Ethiopian Jews to Israel.

Yeah, the SR got that kind of capacity because JAL ordered all of them in a single class setup, so all economy seating means more seats. Everything else came standard in a 2 or 3 class setup.

Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention that airlift. It was in my notes and I skimmed right over it. Maybe I'll do another F A C T S on Operation Solomon sometime, it's an intriguing operation.

dawww, that would really make for a good storybook:):):)

Wooooo!!!! Thank you so much for accepting my suggestion! Hmmm, do I get any of that $9.95 by any chance?;)
I was inquiring only about the A380, but I didn't expect getting the treat of learning about the 747 as well!!!:):):)
I learnt so much I never knew before, like how it was originally designed as primarily a cargo aircraft and how this masterpiece has managed to stay afloat for so long.

Here's one of my favourites:)

You always put so much heart into these and really do these aircraft justice^^
Can't wait for the A380:D

Good morning all.

I'm not at work today.
*Disgruntled mutterings about the local government and their inability to find their own arse with both hands and a flashlight*

And thanks for the FACTS @DRGN Juno most interesting.

I'm thinking of trying to do one on the VC-10 when I have some time, interesting aircraft.

Just me, but I like the cassette cover the best.
This does look nice indeed! :)
wonder if @Thrashy likes Swiss chard...though, I suppose by default, all chard over there is Swiss, just as all hens in Cornwall are Cornish
To be honest, I have no idea what this is xD
So I'm not sure if I've ever had it.
But I prefer vegetables over fruits, so I'd probably like it.
I'm also one of the rare species that likes Brussels sprouts ^^
(Fun fact: this is called Rosenkohl in German, which means "rose cabbage" ^^)

Also, another thing, that has the word "Swiss" in it in the English language would be Swiss Roll. When I first heard it, I was confused (I mean, something to eat that I haven't ever heard of, even if it's Swiss?)
Until I realised, that we just call it "Roulade" over here, which is a French word. I don't know where the connection to Switzerland in the English language comes from ^^

@Thrashy
I'm listening to a YouTube generated playlist based on what I've listened to,
it's just come up with the band Psychedelic Porn Crumpets,
and I believe it is your doing.
They're actually pretty good..
Haha, just had to look in my Playlist, because that name sounded familiar. And yes, I actually had them in my playlist :p
Love that songname too xD
