I take it that you normally live in a city/town, then?
It's a bit cold for crickets right now in the Northern part of the USA, but I've still got the joy of watching the sunset over the fields and the fun of exploring the little patches of forest here and there. I wouldn't give up the country life for anything

I was raised here, 'til my 17's, then moved to the big city so I could keep studying and get a degree. I've lived there ever since, occasionally paying my parents' a visit - or, more often, they'd do so themselves.

It's quite funny how I got used to self-isolation, whereas they love to go out, and now we both have to live together again in this situation. We find ourselves having to adapt to each other's dynamics

It feels very nostalgic as well. During the periods of severe drought, we'd be forced to save water to our fullest; now we have to be careful with food and general supplies

It must've been a big change to move to the city (I went to New York City for one day, and I was already sick of the crowds, the abundance of people, and the lack of nature). I hope that you've adjusted well! Things may be chaotic in the world right now with the virus, but I'm glad that you're with your family. Nostalgia is always so bittersweet

This is called "Birchermüesli" in Switzerland and has adopted to the German language as "Müsli" ^^
Funny, that this word exists in English too, didn't know that

It really amazes me how a Swiss word made it to English ^^
Because Swiss German isn't a "real" language, it's a dialect. Sure, it is different than "usual" German, but there aren't any grammar rules for Swiss German.
But yeah, there seemed to not really be a translation for "Müesli" to German, so the Germans just used "Müsli"
