*wakes up in a cell* Huh... what did I do? I was arrested for sleeping in public?! *strangles the guards, steals his key card, sneaks into the armory and grabs a pump shotgun, and escaped the prison*

Don't worry! Of course I still plan to catch you!

After all, no zoo is complete, without a spotted skunk.
Ah! But the rare and innocent Spotted Skunks already belong in nature.

Although I could let you have me if you accept my deal.

I need to take care of the bribery problem in our forces...
This is going to get interesting.

You notice a sudden flurry of squawking, before the roof of your fortress suddenly begins to cave in dramatic fashion.

Your fortress is assaulted by budgies.

Noooooo!!!
Your budgies are lucky that I'm a pacifist! I'm tempted to become a paciFIST, though! The celery building was so beautiful (and tasty)
:(

Well I didn't intend to cook tonight, but I guess I'll go make dinner
*Begins cutting cabbage* u.u

You begin preparing cabbage to be...sauteed, boiled, I don't know. You do you. Anyway, you're preparing dinner when you're distracted by a screeching noise. You peer outside the remains of your celery fortress to investigate, but find nobody there. When you return to your dinner, your cabbage is missing.

Your dinner has been stolen by a cockatiel.

*invites @BreyoGP to dinner*

I am actually cooking dinner out in the world-
It's veggies sauteed in applecider vinegar, lemon juice and almond butter over a bed of salt & pepper'd cabbage steamed with rice wine vinegar :3

@DRGN Juno oh nuh uh! This is IRL! *Closes my van doors and all is secure* :p

That sounds pretty good! I'd love to come! Umm... just out of curiosity, what time zone are you in? It's 11:25 P.M. where I live, and I'm wondering if you're making yourself a midnight "snack" lol

I'm definitely prone to midnight snacking, but this is just a late dinner at 8:30pm PST :p
I'm sitting up with dinner and jasmine tea, listening to okami piano covers and 'house' shopping..

Good camper conversion platform? Got to find one with a liftgate to put my motorcycle on!

If there's anything that offers cab to box access, that'd probably be perfect.

~sorry, had some trouble with my connection~

My first choice has been those stepvan delivery trucks because I would really like access to the cab from a utilitarian standpoint, but I'm finding those seem more expensive/older for the same price. I think they're more sought after by small businesses like food trucks or dog groomers so the price has jumped some. Plus I hate the look of them and part of me says it'd be nice to have that separation so I could forget I'm in a vehicle for awhile. Also, it'd be easier to insulate a box like that.
As far as buses go, I used to want to do that a lot but I've got a special solar array in mind that I'd prefer to put on a flat roof, AND I feel like theres a growing stigma/cliche around bus converions.
These trucks are seen as cool all aross the board I think, I certainly like them:

I'm also starry eyed at this things 6KW array and I think it wouldn't be beyond me to build something like it:

If you're in California, you don't have to worry about climbing out in -40C to get to the cab. It's that limiting of weather that you get when you have the pass-through.

Also, are bus conversions really looked down on? I only peek into the community every now and then, but old school buses seem pretty popular to me.

Ah, alrighty. I was thinking, "He's making that whole thing this late at night?! What the heck? He's never gonna be able to go to sleep! He'll be all veggie-energized" lol
I hope you enjoyed it!

*provides the fist for just $50*
Hmm... you drive a hard bargain, weasel! I might have to buy it for self-defense, that way its usage is justified :)
*begins researching on how to get budgies to attack me*

The plan is to get out of California and travel full time (hopefully on some form(s) of renewable energy), and the northern US, Canada and Alaska are certainly on the list!
I don't think nice bus conversions in appropriate places are looked down on much, but I've seen some pretty ramshackled conversions out in the world, parked in some inappropriate places, leaking.. something.. onto the concrete. That view of them may just lie with me, but I've seen and heard of a number of dodgy buses full of dodgy people hanging around walmart parking lots and the like :\

I'm trying to think of this as a semi-long term stitch. I want it to feel like a house, and I want to be as far away from the stigma of it as possible, because that's my least favorite part of this.

Oh it was bomb, glad I stocked up on cabbage- I'ma be doin' more of that ^^
I've had trouble sleeping lately though so I'll probably be up until 2am anyway. Need to brave the contagion and go for a darn walk!

Sounds like you got yourself a plan there! A good one, a that! Alaska and Canada sound so calm! I'd love to just go out there and go on a hike, surround myself with nature, and hopefully not get mauled by a bear, cougar, or wolves (I don't know if those exist in Canada or not) :D
I'd miss the mild(ish) temperatures and fields of the NE of the USA, though :/

Also, did @Manchesterite make a reference to something that I was too ignorant to get?

Walks are really nice with this whole virus thing going on. Almost everyone is tucked away in their homes and you pretty much have the roads to yourself :D
Go for it! I hope you can snag some Z's tonight!

Gotcha. I know the type you're talking about.

I was thinking more along the lines of a used city bus. A bit cleaner, sleeker, and a lower floor for more room. I personally think something like an old NovaBus or one of the old NYC GM buses would be pretty neat.
