I don't use any social media platform (except if you see this forums as such). I don't think I miss much, but of course that's your decision ^^

If you really want to and feel you can handle it, go for it!
But yeah, I know both twitter and being a popufur present their own challenges

I've been pondering the same. I use Instagram mainly to publish all my comm stuff and I like that it's very focused on the content, so there's not so many distracting links, ads etc. It really engages one on the platform. Plus it's very visual, so if I want others to check my art, it suits the need just fine

Twitter on the other hand seems to have more of an opposite direction, as it tends to guide you more towards different places with all the external media links. I don't just draw art, so it could be more of a multi-purpose platform for me to share new music, translation works (with due permission), general updates and of course, drawings

As for the drama, I see it happening everywhere so I'm not sure I should use that as a parameter

Anyway, Twitter's nice...for checking on things. There's gems to be found if you're willing to persevere. I generally don't use it for posting and such...
