Actually I think they are pretty close.I don't know UK geography, but I'm guessing that's nowhere near wherever @A Minty cheetah is?
Actually I think they are pretty close.
Just found out it's called the same in EnglishA38?
Sounds familiar....
*Facepaws*
Nevermind I think I remember, it was in Asterix (the Twelve Tasks of Asterix if I'm remembering right)
That's a great movie. I love how the bureaucracy thing just comes out of nowhereJust found out it's called the same in English
Yeah, I wish they'd still make movies in thst style today! Not the biggest fan of computer animationThat's a great movie. I love how the bureaucracy thing just comes out of nowhere![]()
Don't get me wrong it's impressive what they can do with CGI but I think hand drawn still has a charm all its own.Yeah, I wish they'd still make movies in thst style today! Not the biggest fan of computer animation

Same here. Computer animation just doesn't have the same personality. :/Don't get me wrong it's impressive what they can do with CGI but I think hand drawn still has a charm all its own.

Right, in high-profile films and such. I think the first CGI in general was done during all the way back in the sixties. There was the experimental "Hummingbird" and... some other stuff? Those were pretty crappy compared to the stuff we have today, thoughI think the first appearance of CGI in animation were
- the clock mechanism inside Big Ben in Basil The Great Mouse Detective
- and the ballroom in Beauty And The Beast
I see you there! You were no match for my rat perception! >:3*lurks*
And I still prefer hand-animated stuff. Just look at what happened to The Simpsons when it went CGI. It became so soulless.Although that might not be the best example, you can do impressive stuff with CGI if you put the work in.
I'm a huge proponent of "don't blame your tools." There are ways to bring CGI to life, and there are ways to bung up hand drawn animation.
I hear you. I suppose my problem with CGI is that it makes it really easy to half-assedly mass produce animation with minimal effort, but that's hardly the CGI's fault.
I'm holding back on Beastars the animation, because I want to read the manga first. Once I find the time...![]()
That's the problem with some modern anime...they use 3D animation as a shortcut to not put in effort in animating, let's say, dragons.I suppose my problem with CGI is that it makes it really easy to half-assedly mass produce animation with minimal effort

The anime sticks to the manga pretty well, with a couple of exceptions (one drama club scene in particular) and occasional problems with pacing.
DRAGON: *rams snout into ground for some reason* Ouch. That's the problem with some modern anime...they use 3D animation as a shortcut to not put in effort in animating, let's say, dragons.
Good night, draggy *rat transformation potion, etc.*That's a laziness issue. If you don't wanna draw a dragon (for some twisted reason), you're not gonna draw a dragon regardless of what medium you're using.
Speaking of lazing around, I'm going to bed now.
True enough...although CG cars are apparently notorious in anime for being just too hard to render. Night! That's a laziness issue. If you don't wanna draw a dragon (for some twisted reason), you're not gonna draw a dragon regardless of what medium you're using.

CH33 area is about 28 miles away by road, probably around 20 miles as the crow flies, so it's actually pretty close! The "CH" postcode is found around the Chester area, and Chester is the county town for my county!I don't know UK geography, but I'm guessing that's nowhere near wherever @A Minty cheetah is?

Not sure how this conversation started (just checking the notification) but in the year 2033 the following car registration number will be available: "CH33 TAH"
It fits the current standard layout for a UK car registration.
