Brits and their delightful names. Liverpool. Cockermouth. Didling.
Who names these places?! I mean, "Liverpool". What's next, "Spleen Vat"? "Body Effluvia Reservoir"?
There's a place in Scotland called Twatt.
There's roads called Ladyhole Lane, Crotch Crescent and Back Passage, among others.
A place called Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in Wales.
A place called Dicks Mount in England.

It gets more interesting when you get to some of our overseas territories I.E. Belize (former British Honduras)
Good Living Camp (upgraded to Over the Top Camp)
Cool Shade
Young Girl (possibly we don't want to know)
Double Head Cabbage
Go To Hell (yes that was a place)
And the infamous "Trousers Down".

On Ascension Island
Two Boats (named after the two boats someone had dumped there to provide shade)
One Boat (only seems to be a golf course there)
Cat Hill
Devil's Ashpit.

Those are awesome. My favorite of these is "Good Living Camp". Probably better for morale than "Awwh, Everything Is Terrible Camp" or "Nothing to Write Home About Camp". :D

Sounds like an excuse. I bet Philadelphians actually secretly want reinstitution of the House of Hohenzollern :p
Here's more:
It was named for its owner, a native of Prussia, in honor of Frederick I, who had, a short time before, establishing himself as the King of Prussia.

To those who doubt there ever was a so-called “King”, the direct descendant of the original Frederick I, King of Prussia, is Louis Ferdinand, Prince of Prussia, visited Dr. Robert May of King of Prussia Road in 1959.

As with all inns and taverns in the colonial period, a sign was hung outside with a likeness of a King of horseback. This creaking sign was long remembered by residents of the Great Valley and many legends concerning it were handed down through the generations.
