Hehehe... I thought holding a weapon would suck but not only are rat paws superior (as you mentioned earlier) to many others, but this weapon seems explicitly designed for our kind! Thanks again, @FlannelFox.

So there's two main things I'm working on here. Footwork (of the UTMOST importance in any duel for a multitude of reasons), and precision. For the former, quite frankly, rats aren't strictly bipedal. Luckily, I think I'm working out a little improv movement...
*grabs leaf, throws it into the wind, deftly dodges by utilizing three feet*
Not pretty, but I suspect any duelists at this size are going to have the same disadvantage. Worst case scenario I just drop my weapon and recover it seconds later. Then there's precision.

Finesse allows you to wield with the incredible power AND speed needed to break through both a tree's exterior and a foe's defense. Of course, I have to relearn everything, new limbs and such, but—

No, it's alright. You don't have to stop doing stuff you've done before just because you've been rattified. In fact, rats can do whatever they want. :3

What?! I don't have any potion on my nose! It would interfere with my sense of smell!
Wow. Maybe I should be a little less underpawed. I don't want to be so suspicious that fellow rodents won't even nuzzle me...:(
