I live about 4 miles from the Mississippi River, so I am in the Mississippi River Delta. It's hella flat here. If you look at a map, I'm about four miles north of the Tennessee/Mississippi state line and about four miles east of the river. Memphis is built on a bluff, but it isn't that much of a geological feature, but it keeps a lot of flooding from happening here. It's the tail end of what is called Crawley's Ridge. I don't know of any rock outcrops anywhere near Memphis. The closest interesting geology from where I live is over on the other side of Arkansas where there is the Crater of Diamonds State Park.
