Actually this drawing isn't a hundred percent accurate. I think I overstated the size of the mouse and the jaw for the Sabertooth can open about 130 degrees wide. I did the math and it would take 35,294 mice to equal one Sabertooth Cat (smilodon populator).

I would say.
90 degrees seems a bit small for a Saber.

Also, maybe TR is just big?

Sabers were pack hunters and could being down a mammoth. A Saber could weigh up to 1500 pounds. A cow would be more than enough food for a Sabertooth.
