... ... so after a bit of trying i am reminded that i can't draw... at all really, so there is little to no chance of me hand drawing anything sucessfuly.

does anyone know any way i could build it withen something ...(not even sure what that means truely myself)
Anyone can draw. If I can learn, anyone can. I was the worst person at drawing ever, but after 10 months of hard, consistent work, I made it to the point where I can draw recognizably (my journey is far from over, of course). If you want resources to learn, HMU.

i know that for the most part, and have been trying although if i want the map 1-2years later i might as well just build it in Minecraft

currently i can barely make fully straight lines... so i have a long way to go there

I will spew fire upon the heavens! I will fly 10,000 miles!
That’s overrated! Just be the man who walks a thousand miles to fall down at your door.

But if you invest in the skill of drawing to the point where you're happy with your skills, you'll never have to invest in it again (save for continuing to draw to upkeep the skills you already have, which is waaaay less effort). Sure, short term, for just this map, it makes more sense to just make it in Minecraft. But long term, you get the map AND more drawing skills in a year. Seems like a better use of your time if you value drawing IMHO.

i see your point, but it does not stop that there is no way i can pick up a skill in time to make it meaningful now, so if i don't want to give up on the project today i need to find an alternate method

You don't have to give up, just wait till you're equipped to do it! Besides, after a year's gone by there will undoubtedly be new locales to take into consideration in any cartography attempts, and you'd have to update your hypothetical map anyways.

slimar train of thought, its more beneficial to me myself if i learned how to make it in some software ... although researching that will also take a long time and will doom this project

from experience with myself, if i put off a project for a long time to try and learn "prerequisite" stills, the project will be doomed and never start again, i have to push forward quickly after first getting the idea, or give up entirely (of the 100s of ideas i have had, less then 2 or 3 of them have really been picked back up again after being put aside, not one has be started if no work was put into the idea immediately)

It saddens me to think of all the great ideas not brought to fruition thanks to this habit. Have you considered writing your ideas down? I've got one or two plot and drawing ideas written, and whenever I get free time/new skills, I refer to them to see if they'd be feasible. I recommend the same, if only for the purely self interested reason of wanting to see more of your ideas.

That's kind of what I do. That's where the 'Hidden in plain sight' story came from. Ultimately I'm going to turn that into a comic but I wanted to get the idea down and since it seemed relatively coherent I thought 'what the hell' and posted it. I have other ideas buried in the depths of hard drives and old sketchbooks just waiting to see the light of day.

My minds not that flexable unfortunately, starting a new task is a almost insurmountable undertaking... once i am going i can contuine for hours on end, often without worring about interruptions, but if not they go nowere, i have tried to jot down ideas quickly but it rarely goes anywere unless i get 400 words down at least

However, many of the storys or events i do make are built from fragments of failed ones, its often the primary storyline that gets doomed

and even writeing some ideas down fails, not that i have not tried, for tf or story things like this i usually have about an hour to 3 hour window to put serrious thought into it if it is going anywhere

Outside of that though i do have story elements written down that i work with for 1 or 2(1 really at the moment and a big dump file for the other one)

*Stumbles in the room* Hiya folks! Back from spending all the way till 3:41 on Math stuff. *Collapses* So, how's everyone been so far? *Yawns*
What kind of math? For me, school’s out but I’m still learning on Khan Academy! I’ve been quite good, and I just got back from a walk.
I just thought of something a bit odd: The only social media sites I use are YouTube and this forum! I guess that’s a good way of avoiding depression from the news!

Noice! I look forward to your ideas also coming to fruition!

I kinda sound like a villain when I use the word "fruition", now that I think about it.

I see. I've never experienced a problem like that (writing down a couple dozen key words in the span of thirty seconds would work in a pinch for me), so I'm not sure how to advise you. Good luck!

Tired. Busy. Studying. Working. Not writing because I'm at an uber tough part to write.

And how have you been? And what kind of maths are you working on?

Ah, I see. Hope that gets better! And you know, its stuff like two step equations and dependent and independent variables and stuff like that.

Well, I suppose that's a good way to keep yourself entertained and such. The math is stuff like independent variables and two step equations and such.

I thought dependent and independant variables were terms in scientific experiments. What are they, and what are two step equations? Equations where you have to do more than 1 thing to solve them?
