Just played a game named BS Zelda: The Ancient Stone Tablets.
93/100, I'd like to say. The "real time" voice acting and the compact format are well-executed novelties. The only problems are technical ones...mostly having to do with how you move from one week to the other (the game has 4 episodes, each lasting roughly an hour)

Never heard of that one. It's a fangame, right? Does it have a semi-open world like the official older Zeldas?

It isn't a fangame. Was released for an obscure SNES add-on called Satellaview. One gets reminded of the PC-Engine CD or Sega CD...except this add-on needed a subscription to a satellite service.

I don't think Satellaview even was available over here - or if it was it was really badly marketed, because I haven't ever heard anyone even reference it

I just figured that I should tell them at some point! But that’s a good point! If they ask, I’ll explain it to them, but if they don’t, I won’t go out of my way to tell them. Thanks for the advice!

I think that would be fine, probably.

I never told my folks, but I was also about 24 (or was it 25?) when I joined the fandom and they had already expressed that they thought that the fandom was all about bestiality and had no concept of the fun SFW art, games, and general wholesome fun we have.

Based on your situation? Just tell them you joined a new fandom. It doesn't have to be an awkward "coming out" type thing. I'm sure they are curious about your interests and want to know what you enjoy!

You have the right idea to let them know ahead of time that "hey, a lot of people have misconceptions about the fandom based on some bad publicity in the news, but it really isn't a well rounded representation of the fandom."

You can direct them to Wikipedia or wikifur or whatever, but if you are comfortable, you can also volunteer yourself to explain your interests in the fandom to them. It is probably better than relying totally on whatever they find online.

The crew had all been given the moon-trip on a whim by the manager and he told them they were free to use any means necessary to get to the Moon and then leave without paying for the trip. The mouse got himself into the crew cabin and was given a tour of the ship. He asked how it was that the manager had allowed them to take a free ride to the Moon. The manager explained that it was all just the way things were done at Mischief Mart. The mouse got very excited and asked " Why is there a big blue sign above the ship that says "Mischief Mart?" The manager pointed down at the ship and said "That's the way things are done at Mischief Mart!"

Ravo decided to become the King of America and became the leader of the United States by tele porting into Donald's body after a big fight with Donald. During this time, he managed to form the Ultimate United States of America, and he created several laws which he believed would work for the benefit of everyone in America. For example, his laws prohibited gun owners from owning more than 5 guns in any one location, and also prohibited Americans from having sex in a bar where more than 20,000 people were watching. Ravo became the most hated leader of the United States and accused of making America into a communist nation.
