Hahaha! To them, you will always be an otter.

But you are not the only one that doesn't use a fursona or animal to represent yourself in the Furry fandom, but something else. Thrashy is doing that right now, and we are all cool with it.
It is interesting though. I remember reading all this stuff when I first got in about "you're a furry if you want to be, that's it.". but is that true? or is it liking anthro animals, or being around the fandom? so confusing lol

That is indeed true, my friend. You know, if you don't consider yourself a furry then you aren't a furry, as simple as that. Some might still tease and joke about it from time to time, even though they don't consider themselves as furries, while others would rather have their decision fully respected. But in the end, it doesn't matter, one can still interact in the fandom without being a furry, anyways.
