The thread won't change in the slightest. It is just the forum location. And I'd probably leave a redirection notice...just in case you miss it.


But yeah, if people don't want things to change at all within what the thread does, I'll just move it and be done with it. Easiest way to solve problems.

Heck, I think it might be a good idea in general to open a thread addressing my thoughts on what we could do with Forum Games and seeing what folks think. Some of my thoughts relate to "Forum Games" not being an actual games, for the most part. Most of which could probably relate more to Off Topic, where...you can be wacky and crazy...just keep things within reason/rules of the site.

Forum Games would then have a minimal quality standard, so it actually plays as a real game, with real win goals and whatnot. So essentially, consider this a "Forum Games" split.

That has been tried once (after the previous mod intervention). I can recall trying to post on Open Chat more, but it eventually got back to its current pace in no time. I dunno what gives, but Preds. vs Prey seems to have this kind of magnetism to it; maybe with all the RPing, the worlds that have been created, stories told, bonds made and the occasional game that gave birth to it in first place. Like a tavern of sorts. It's something that happened gradually, and has been going on for more than a thousand pages

Also, OP made a copy of the same game here, and affectionally nicknamed this one where we're chatting as the "spam-friendly" version X3. As you can see, it's still in the Forum Games, although there's been no posts since last year

I understand the need to keep things organized, as I've already witnessed furs coming in to play and wondering what the score was, how to play etc., to never come back; whereas others came in and just LET IT GOOOOO ♫. That said, in fact, I find it more reasonable to keep it active somewhere in these forums, even if inside the newborn Trash Can, rather than nuking/locking it, if you look at how active it is compared to most threads (I'd say all threads in FAF except maybe Last Post Wins) and how it grew naturally

the current thing they are thinking about is more forum structure thing, from what they told me it was more of a move, and not saying the threads themselves would have to change or be closed

There is definitely no plans to lock any such threads. They don't break rules. They just...sort of don't fit here? Kind of why Off Topic was created because looking at General Discussion had us find some threads that, while not breaking any rules...didn't really fit there. (what many mortals would call shitposting)

I don’t personally see any issues with having this thread in forum games. I do see that it’s not strictly a forum game, per se, but I don’t think it’s causing any problems. It’s been like this for the few months I’ve been here without incident.

That said, I definitely think the mods know best and think we should all abide by their judgement.

it looks more like renaming and moving a few things around then changing the threads themselves

(personaly... i am always on a lose timeline with some things, the longer i wait from the time i wanted to do it first the less likely it is to happen, this is probably not a big thing here as its just typeing and checking to make sure i don't have stats jumbled)
