I would definitely stay where you currently are, if you are happy there. Work environment is #1 when it comes to deciding who to work for imo, and leaving a company you enjoy working for to work for a reputedly terrible company is a bad idea, even if they ostensibly pay you more (if they even pay you, apparently that is not even guaranteed in this caseJust received a job proposal from another translation agency but their recent reviews on ProZ (the LinkedIn of translators) are verrrry discouraging (so many 1/5 ratings), and service providers mainly complain about payment not guaranteed unless they send thousands of email reminders
I'm starting slow on the field and pondering... should I? Ain't it worth the extra (late) money, experience and possible reference anyways? But my colleagues say we shouldn't devalue our career like that, or our sanity for that matter, and I'm very satisfied with the company I'm currently working for
Maybe it's my desire for things happening fast getting in the way of reason *sighs and munches on some potatoes*
Oh, in this case it would be an extra possible source of income. So I'd be working as a service provider for two companies, as none of both contracts imply I shouldn't, and it's not an uncommon thing among translatorsI would definitely stay where you currently are, if you are happy there. Well, that's my two forged burned rat-dimes, anyway ;3
Not a good sign if they are seeking to remove reviewsOh, in this case it would be an extra possible source of income. So I'd be working as a service provider for two companies, as none of both contracts imply I shouldn't, and it's not an uncommon thing among translators
But I do get what you mean about work environment. Apart from the money issue, there's complaints about work pressure, badly explained task assignments and several lengthy trainings
edit: and one review says the company asked them to remove their review. So uh... Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't lol
Yeah, that sounds like a massive 'red flag'. It's probably best to steer clear of them.Oh, in this case it would be an extra possible source of income. Oh, gotcha! That doesn't sound that bad, then :3Oh, in this case it would be an extra possible source of income. So I'd be working as a service provider for two companies, as none of both contracts imply I shouldn't, and it's not an uncommon thing among translators
This, on the other hand, sounds terrible :OApart from the money issue, there's complaints about work pressure, badly explained task assignments and several lengthy trainings

*struggles*Exactly!
*puts blue woof in a sudsy tun, and adds some Cedar-Sycamore-Skunk bubble bath*
*deflates your dingy*It's the same with me! *is a nocturnal animawl*
*watches you sink underneath the ocean waves while floating in the EMERGENCY RAT DINGHY*
