You answered your own question. “No matter what I do to stop it”. The very fact of you trying brings about the future you foresaw. If you disregard the prophecies, they hold a lot less weight.

Well, the rub with prophecies is that they assume they will be heeded. If you have a vision of the future, the vision takes into account that you will try to stop it. Kind of like how some things are changed by the very fact that you observe them. If you ignore the prophecy, what it says will pass (which assumes you won’t ignore it) (likely) won’t happen.

“Wild” is not the word I’d use. He sabotaged my brain bleach so I ended up pouring a ton of the virus right into my head. More “sinister” and “treacherous” than “wild”. He even did an evil laugh afterwards.
