Why would you want to do that?? You are much better off as a rat. Instead of going about getting in fights or whatever it is you do all day, you could just get power groomed and eat yogurt all day! :3

If I recall, everything went to poop when those fighty lions started fighting over the right of succession. All the problems would have been avoided if they had solved their issues with power grooming. And by eating yogurt. *nodnod*

Nooo, you’re missing the moral! Everything went to poop when Simba went all “Hakuna mattata” and stopped caring! That’s what living the yogurt and carefree life is doing! It allows others to suffer by your inaction. Eventually, Simba figured out that actually no, it’s not okay to just not care and enjoy life, and he set things right.
Well he was a king so he didn't have the choice to not care without consequences

I though it all went to hell when Simba's dad was killed by his uncle in a power struggle.
(Actually I can't remember what the relationship was, it's been a few years since I watched it)

Well yeah, that sucked too, but the moral for that particular going-to-hell was “don’t be evil and murder innocents to usurp the throne”, which I’m pretty sure we already all agree upon.

Exactly, yes, you get it! With rats, the whole problem would never even have arisen, the king would have had a dominance check with Scar and that would have been the end of it. And even if Scar would have won, he wouldn't have invited any hyenas into the kingdom. Because they would have eaten him. *nodnod*

Eh? Says who? I say there would have been production all over the place! In fact, the whole savannah would have been one giant yogurt factory, producing a variety of flavors of yogurt: mango, peach, chocolate, banana, coconut, whatever you have!
