I’m more inclined to believe myself over anyone else, as I’m the only person I can be sure isn’t lying. Unless someone both mind-controlled me and then implanted false memories of yesterday into me, I’m really not seeing any way your version of events could be true. And even then, there’d be SOME sort of evidence in your favor! Some proof, some discrepancy, SOMETHING.

Body-swapping me, while strange and magical, might not be too hard for an experienced wizard. But body-swapping me, possessing me, implanting fake memories AND getting rid of any trace whatsoever? For no benefit at the end? Significantly less likely.
