Aren't they flying bugs that eventually plummet to the ground, for people's delight?!Speaking of ants, I haven't told you yet about this species of Mexican ant, which is very special!
The young queens of this species, which are called "chicatanas", appear during rainy season by thousands and happen to be a delicacy over here!
That sounds a lot like our Tanajuras, although it's more common to eat their butts, fried and sometimes as part of our farofa, which is this powder prepared off cassava:
