I ended up exploring what turned out to be a network of ancient rats' nests. When I got to the center of the network, I found an ancient alchemy laboratory and library. I wonder what sorts of rat potions lost to the ages can now be used once again.

*the ramfications of this find can not be overstated*

*Pulls zip down and comes out of the cat costume as a surprise attack, then captures all the rats along Izzyrat and @metatherat and puts them inside a cage, with tiny spankbots to spank them all day*

I heard rats find being caged hot and that there's nothing better than caged rats, so this is a win-win for everyone!

Don't worry, the door of the cage is not locked, you can open it anytime.

Uhh.... Yes.... the ambient temperature in this cage is indeed high. Must be all the spankbots heating it up *blushes red under fur* :3

The grinning salesman is kind of a dark version of doraemon, were a pale (joker like) salesman sells magical tools to people in need, but more often then not turns against the user and have them meet a ill fate

Yes, sometimes some are more severe then others, i think one episode the client wanted to releave a romantic bath with a beautifull girl
...the salesman DID let him relive that, but by the end, its releaved it was a ilusion and the girl was a yokai...not sure if the client survived that enconter...
