Those actually exist here too, but I can't tell the extent of it compared to English Twitter (I barely even use it). In this case I was on about the generational talk coz that made the newsUsually those are more like "cancelling people, this vs that, polemics, middle eats this, china and etc"
Another example: there was a "war" among people from different Brazilian regions that have their ways of distinguishing between "bolacha" and "biscoito" (just as in English there's cookie and biscuit). In certain states, "bolacha" is salty and "biscoito" is sweet. In other states, it's the other way round. But there's states where people randomly differentiate them with different reasons. So one day, "BOLACHA X BISCOITO" went to the trending topics and people "fought" over the right term for a snack!
It wasn't really a serious fight, just folks being goofy. But that has been mistaken to a flaming war when I told about it for the first time
Same, but with Mexicans!
A big example of that is our perception of death, how we talk about it so lightly, or how we even joke about it a lot of the time!
XD!
I heard about your ways of dealing with death, isn't it in Mexico where they hold cheery events on the Day of the Dead to celebrate good times passed with the deceased ones when they were still alive?! I really admire that!XD
So truee!!!
Haha we are so lighty about death in our country xD

In my region people laugh at things like a man holding a cardboard sign with "I DON'T SELL ON CREDIT. WHAT IF YOU DIE FROM COVID?!" written on it
