V * I = watts
Voltage is the potential difference between two contacts. Think of it as the pressure in the pipe, or better the size of the pipe.
Amperage (Current/I) is the actual flow of electrons between those contacts. This is the one that melts crappy terminals :p Think of it as the, well.. current flow :3
Watts are the product of the two and are the actual power. That's why they're what's written on the back of your coffee pot or whatever. You can think about them as the amount of water spewing out of the end of the pipe at a given time, OR if you're talking watt/hours then it's the amount of water you got in your tank (or that you've spewed all over the ground to burn your pizza rolls in your electric oven)
