So, what's this PvP Discord I keep hearing about? I use Discord but I'm not in any furry servers. Enlighten me, please!

Basically, it was set up in the event the forum went down again for a long time (like this time last year), so we could all keep in touch.
It's not officially affiliated with FAF in any way, shape or form.
It started out as just a hang out but it's grown into more.
We have, General chat, art threads, music thread, meme dumps, streaming channel, a more 18+ area.
As far as moderation goes, yes there are rules (fairly mild ones, just your boilerplate 'Be nice'). As moderators I'll happily admit we are learning on the job, but there is a team so we can check each others decisions, to limit any heavy-handed/too lenient decision making.

I've never been in a furry/anthro server before so I'd love to give this one a try. Do you know who I should contact about joining? Or if it's even open to new members?

don't its doomed to fail because it has a fixed member section that no longer has things to do with pvp, it was trying to extract faf members without a theme, gui was right that discord is not the best place

it claimed to be a pvp thread discord, but it got more and mote non pvp members, and never onve had a round, it was just to lure people from pvp to their "group"

pvp picks up nee people like you pretty often, and they replace who leaves, this discord did not as well and only took people who they knew, meaning its doomed to fail in the wrong run

it was just popular because they allower nsfw talk there because they said you had to be 18 to joint

Idk, I’ve been to 2-3 forum discords and kinda regretted it.

I made my Discord specifically bc i was tired of not having a fur community that also played Minecraft/wasn;'t toxic.

Given we're still toxic in it, it's all more of in good fun, rather than actual hatred, since it's a small discord group.

Sure, that shouldn't be a problem.
We are in the middle of a bit of a reorganisation at the moment.
I'll ping the other admins just to check but I should be back with an invite sharpish.

What I said was that I'm personally not fond of Discord groups. But the experience may vary by person. Also I'd appreciate if you do not throw my name out there in any way connected to whatever bad Discord experience you've had, pal

i ment to say that there are people here that really think open places like faf are better then private discords

Ah, gotcha. To be frank this sounds like 40% of every server I've ever joined - they advertise a certain theme which quickly vanishes in a sea of shitposting and off-topic stuff. Personally, I don't mind.

If I end up joining this server there's no way in Helsinki I'm going to ditch FAF. I may not be the most active person on here but I like it too much to turn my back on it. I use Discord a lot - I have two accounts; one public (listed on my FAF profile) and one private (only for my closest of friends) but I check and use FAF almost daily.

any place that needs an invite is private in my view, i will stick here and try and find a different secondary then discord (really want to avoid inkbunny... the mass of x's is scary ) just in case fa has an issue
