Lenago's house was the only one in the village with a fence around it. A white fence made from wooden stakes and thick wire that circled the property and kept the garden and garden beds separated from the neighbors.
It made a big, unkempt perimeter that was just as well, because from her vantage point in the window, there was nothing she could see from her own house. Nothing she didn't already know.
