While exploring the Mostly Temperate Drizzle Shrubland, Franz the maned wolf and Meta the rat discovered a group of men and women standing motionless in a clearing. One of them waved them over, and when they approached they found that it was Theodor and his father the professor. The group were gathered around a large wooden object. It was tall and wide and looked vaguely familiar.
“A… what is it?” Meta whispered, the others being too occupied with their father to notice.
“It’s a wooden model of one of the large stones from the mine,” Theodor said. “It has a sort of face carved into it and the people here, they use it as a sort of idol.”
“It’s very old, it’s more than 200 years,” Professor von Känel said. “It used to be part of the mine shaft.”
