but still its killing another animal to eat its flesh and sustain yourself, why should a dog be wrong when a cow is not, or getting more pointed, when threatened fish species are ok to eat

the energy level layer system is the only real argument that puts dogs in a different group then cows or pigs, as its a higher level consumer and thus uses more land to support

if you think meat eating, or the act of killing for food is wrong, then yes you have a point, but why does one animal get special treatment?



this is my belief, dogs are over protected creatures that do not have any true seperation from livestock in my view

they are no were close to an endangered species, so their meat should not be any worse then a cows or pigs, in my view, they are worse then sea bass or endangered tuna, something that eating may wipe out



(anyway i have stuff to do, this argument was pretty much remembered from a 'talk' i had with a extended family member who was claiming that cultures that eat dogs would be comparable to one that eats other humans, the belief has stuck with me, i am not going to eat one in rl because laws protect them, but from an 'ethics' pov i have my belief)

yes, but this is generally outside of someones own species, killing a member of your own species is a different moral pillar, and thus this seperates the 2

anyway, i am going to go offline for a bit before this turns into the wanting blows fight i always have with people when they cannot find an answer to what makes dog meat(for a culture were its legal, like many third world nations) a moral wrong when cow meat(also a wrong in some cultures, but not the point) or a pig... or even a squirrel or rodent

(again, much of my view of this is based of an argument aganst cultures that allow dog to be acceptable food, as their culture has or had different values then 'ours')

i do hold most of that belief were the value of dogs is an artificial element of cultures, as are many of a cultures values , even if its current wording is anger at the value people put on dogs, especially snowball in the past that i will never every shake off
