Oooh that's interesting!Ah ok
Interesting that you've learned the term Erdapfel. I think it's used that way in Austria? In Switzerland we call them Härdöpfu (or Härdöpfel, depending on the dialect).
in duolingo they used Kartoffel, but I learned of Erdapfel in a video talking about potatos story, and how they're named in different countries (and regions) :3
I like to learn new words hehe
Härdöpfu/pfel is a very interesting word~ I thought you'd have almost the same words
but it seems like spanish in a way, as for example "papa" and "patata" are used depending on the region, it doesn't changes much, (unlike words as corn: 'elote' in mexico, 'maíz' in "standard" spanish or 'choclo' in south america, which change a lot) but its still similar :3
Definitely! XDOh there's no real logic. Only way to learn that is a lot of training. The cases don't make it more easy xD
german has a lot of cases haha
spanish has many too but they're a bit different! + we only have 2 genders in spanish
Ooooh indeed! on phone everything is easier to find!I'm writing on my phone, so special characters are easier to find ^^
On Swiss German PC keyboards, I actually have no idea how to type an ß. It doesn't exist. Swiss keyboard layout is different from the German layout (and then there's a Swiss French layout too).
While both German layouts use QWERTZ, the special characters (%*'!?) Are positioned at different places (of course the US layout is different again) xD
ooooh wow! that's a lot of changes! xD
the spanish one is like the english one actually, the only difference is that we have the "Ñ" added in! (J K L Ñ) and also the diacritic "letters" that let us modify our vowels (we have the ümlaut too! and also some more)
but the spain spanish layout also adds some other characters that let them write in other languages! something like 3-4or maybe 5x1! it adds other letters as portuguese "õ, ã", portuguese, catalunyan, galician(? and french "Ç" and also some others too! :3
