Yeah, maybe it depends on our goals and what kinda lifestyle we live, or intend to live. (and bills.) Personally, I'm veerrrrrrry much a reserved computer person, and tend to invest the most in computer things as far as hobbies are concerned, and less in items like clothing, fancy food/drinks, trips to other places, Netflix etc. Rather, I'm all into music making software, digital drawing, gaming, etc.
So if I end up spending on VR in the future, and it turns out I don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would in a very short period of time, I'll probably get upset to some degree - but the money was spent with my lifestyle in mind at least, so I won't feel like too much was wasted :>
