Welcome to my new vacation house!
This is a simple, normal house that can't decide about its aesthetics, but it's still beautiful, nice and cozy enough for a frog traveller. They even made me a custom nameplate with the same material from the question mark bricks!
And of course, my own pipe, so I can have access to bonus stages with goodies like colored mushrooms, and Power Moons to generate electricity.
Now, let's get through the front door, shall we?
There is something enchanting about living in a somewhat ordinary looking place surrounded by a fantasy world.
I told the toads my head was a tad fragile to hit at "?" blocks, so they made this special rug that just needs to be ground-pounded (aka butt-bounced) for me to get a new, different surprise each day as I wake up. Or, simply jumped on if my butt can't afford it either. Surprises include a mushroom, a coin, a cape feather (lasts a single day) or a fire flower (for stoves, bonfires or spicy food).
I'm a simple frog of a simple kitchen. There is a portable induction cooktop, an air fryer, the dishes are washed and dried by hand before putting them away, the same sink is also used for brushing my tongue, and it has a slope filled with bumps so I can rub and wash my clothes in it too.
I'm upset but not too surprised that, in Mushroom Kingdom, common flies are NON-EXISTENT. But there are Fighter Flies and crickets, so my bug diet is still safe.
A close-up of my bedroom area so you can better see the pictures. Each represents a game series I grew up with and am very fond of. "Why is Mario not there?" Well, if you go outside or look out the window, you will see Mario everywhere...
The pillow, thought this was important.
My desk (and my giant head). It features an Acer laptop (blocked by my giant head), an extra monitor for extra PC or Nintendo Switch screen, and a blue yoshi themed mousepad. (This actually reflects my setup IRL.) The desktop pic was taken in Sirena Beach, pretty close to Gelato Beach, the first location I visited and showed through the travelogues.
Ahh this is my new Yoshi friend/pet. I call him Yoshi. Mario said I might need one to travel around Mushroom Kingdom OF COURSE I WANT A YOSHI THANKS!!! And, as you can see, the sofa is wiiiiiide.
Why do I have a Piranha Plant on the corner, next to sofa? Basically, to take pictures and show you. I'm not keeping this s#@%, coz holy crap is it dangerous, well it almost ate my hand and I don't wear puffy gloves like Mario or Luigi who keep a Piranha in their home. Twas a "good" first 10 minutes, now SCRAM OUT OF HERE
And here's for the team who made this possible. Peach, Mario, Cappy, Captain Toad and Yoshi. I mean...
...Let's end this with a bonus recording of a good time I had on the 23rd:
June is a very important month for Northeastern Brazilians due to St. John's festivities, pretty much as popular as Carnaval and Christmas. In practical terms, that means bonfires being lit in the streets, family gatherings, dancing, typical food and barbecues, LOTS AND LOTS of Forró folk music, and fun to be had. I wouldn't let the chance of turning this into a literal house party slip away, right?
