I wanted to harass meet Conker, the squirrel. Last I heard, he was a king and left this bar going to the left... right... diagonal... uh... whatever is the direction behind me. Since I didn't know where he lived, thought this was a good starting point to look for him.

I was sent all the way to the roof 1 sec after this shot. Maybe you can guess why?

So after I entered the place via roof instead of the more orthodox door way, I met death. I mean, the one on the left. It was eager to take my life away, because apparently those who live here can die after falling from high altitudes. And it can be a horrible, gory death. Thankfully, I've been eating 1-up mushrooms...

Photo was taken after the initial "panic". A random squirrel who laughed like crazy at how I tricked Death took it for me, and I figured I'd do this pose. Needless to say, Death was super annoyed.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find Conker here. In fact, they told me King Conker was homeless, as his unmaintained castle in the Kingdom of Windy was destroyed by an unusually strong wind. They even offered me a (very alcoholic) drink that Conker loves, as the chances of leading me towards his path would increase after drinking it, but I declined the offer and called it a day/night.

Windy, the land that destroys castles through wind? Sure, let's go there!

This place actually looks quite welcoming. I didn't see anything too wrong going on here, except it felt a bit massive, and abandoned, I guess. I remember it being a bit more lively in the games.

Yeah! I said QUITE welcoming! The signs even asked me politely to turn back, so I turned my back and took a pic.

It might not be visible here, but the bridge has collapsed. Not like I can't hop to the other side, but the bank and all those trees would block my way anyway. Oh, and I couldn't find Conker sprawled out on the ground when I looked down the abyss, either. I mean, who knows?

Conker likes chocolate, or so I hear. So I found this enormous floating chocolate square and stood on top of it. "HEEEEYYY CONKER I GOT CHOCOLATE!!" Nah, it didn't work. So I just nommed it whole.

There were other interesting areas to look for him, like the mountain of poo, the giant beehive, the war zone (the area behind me. Looks like a castle, but it isn't)... I had my personal reasons to avoid all of those. I'm certain you'll understand.

That's it then! No Conker for now, but I might try again later.

Ahhh that place...looks like a good place to visit a bit...messy at time...ou is that Greg the Grim Reaper?? I often play card with him on sundays the little twerp hahaha...has a big problem with cats though, not sure why

As for the world I visited, not all levels are there - there is the bar, Windy, the farm area, and that path to the bank.

(Oh yeah, please don't tell or show this to anyone: I actually found a ball of poo. But when I tried to pick it up, it didn't quite work as I was expecting...)

From what i hear Nintendo is not THAT much of a monster against fan made projects as people make them out to be.

They can go a bit overboard yeah. But as long as you dont actually use any sprites, music. Made by Nintendo and as long as its not a Remake of one of their games, i belive the fan project should be fine

I always heard stories of nintendo going nuts but, mainly from remakes and some fangames
So I guess it's logic to a certain degree

I'm glad they aren't THAT of a monster as I thought tbh Owo

fan art is officially considered fair use, so its hard for them to enforce things if you don't charge for the specific item, and don't use any directly copyed parts, music however is easy to call copyed, but under the current us law(i think) they cannot stop someone from drawing a character off their design as long as they don't copy paste and don't sell it

... or thats what the vage understanding i have gotten with my limited knowledge, and also,
even if they wanted to stop some of it, its hard to dive in that deep

fair use is really complicated though

Gregg is his name right? I've forgotten after so long, but yep - he also hates the undead, so I guess I can understand why he was so terribly annoyed as he couldn't kill me at the time. Still, a tad intriguing, being undead himself...

There is also the OverClocked ReMix remixes, which are free, available since the 90s and even composers for Nintendo sometimes publish their own reworks there. Fair use is precisely what they include in their terms to make all of it legal, and despite their popularity, there has been no signs of Nintendo taking down their content that I've heard of. I mean, I have remixes off Nintendo titles published there as well, and participated in collab albums

Maybe it's their approach to remixes, as works must have a highly transformative, "interpretive" character to them, to reinforce their motto of showcasing video game music as an art form

Ehhh friend is saying a bit much maybe...we just play poker in the bar at sundays...actually won his scythe in a poker game last week...been using it as a back scratcher
