.: Guifrog's Odyssey Travel Log #15 :.
So... after yesterday's episode where
I got arrested by the police for having a suspicious-looking face... Here I am.
Uh, nope, this is not me. It's a random guy that popped up from the floor and into my cell. He told me I'm just one among many others that ended up here before me, like... Yesterday, and the day before yesterday, and so on. I had many questions to ask, from wtf is this guy to how I can escape. But he said those who tried disappeared, probably taken by "the Pumpkin Master".
After that, the guy poof'd back into the void.
Wasn't too hard to set myself free. The door just went
creeeeeak as I approached, like it was expecting me to try and make it out of the cell. And then I find this room, filled with giant spoopy pumpkins... Which one is the so-called "master" of them?
Out of curiosity, I tried touching one of those bored looking pumpkins...
...and this is how it reacted. Brrrrr!!
Seriously, this place scared me several times. From the moment when I got out of my cell, as a horde of bats came flying in my direction, to the moment these pumpkins reacted as I touched them. I was still trapped inside this prison, trying to figure a way out, so I had to do all I could think of, and touched the other 3 pumpkins in this room. The result?
They all smiled at me, another door opened, and I left the pris... no... it was a crypt. Apparently, I was supposed to die there.
So now what? I'm lost in this huge cemetery, there's pumpkins, ghosts and twisted trees everywhere. Which way should I go to get back to Mushroom Kingdom?
As I passed by the entrance to this mansion, I found this book that basically tells me I might get help from this Johnny Long Legs guy. Maybe, I thought, he will like my T-shirt. So I went ahead and knocked his door.
OOOohhh
@Lenago !! Dude, this is quite an odd place to rebuild your house, but understandable, for someone who is looking for peace. Now, would you like to help me to find my way ho- *door closes with a SLAM*
Ok. Look, I'M SORRY I'm not rich and my T-shirt has no value for you!
So, yeah. I have no choice other than do some scavenging around the area. If only I had those coins I found yesterday with me...
As I was exploring, I found some crypts had hidden, pale gems scattered around, like the small one at the center of this picture. I brought some of them to Lenny Long Legs or whatever they call him here... He didn't want them. I was like, WHAT?!?
Could it be because they look fake? I mean, those ain't no shiny gems at all, indeed. *sigh*
Could this be the Master Pumpkin? If I'm honest, he looks a bit too lazy. But there was something hidden behind him, and I needed the sleepy dude to go away. It's cropped in this picture, but there's a bell tower standing on the upper left corner - all I needed to do was ring it.
I stood there, hiding... and the pumpkin woke up. Although somewhat unfazed, he stepped away from the place I wanted to check out. It had a door entrance to another crypt.
Inside, I found those carved blocks with a very familiar shaped hole at their center. So I took the gems I found along the way, put each in one of the holes, and another door opened. Can't deny, I'm actually enjoying this puzzle game, hehe.
Aaahhh, I found a shiny! And it's golden!
I'm sure Lenago will like this one!
Well. I went back to his mansion and yes, he accepted the shiny gem. Then he threw a key at me. It's the cemetery door key... Dude, seriously, you know I am a frog and I can just hop over the fence, right? I'd be a tad happier if you gave me some directions, but thank you, I guess.
At least, I managed to find my way out. And here I am, alive and well, telling you this story.

[P.s.: This is a very creative prologue story themed world on VRChat called "Spooky Town & The Pumpkin Master". A marvelous experience, from start to finish!]
