I doubt it would taste as good as real blood and souls (if I was a blood or soul consumer). Kinda like how vegan meat substitutes just aren't as good.

the zubat feed is pretty well received, less for the litwick oil, but it sustains them, although the litwick points out absorbing their energy or blood is not that different then eating their flesh, and that plants are consumed for energy as well

only the plants don't consume something else
