I found a work around to get a kangaroo in S4, because I think one of the "lizard tails" from the latest version of the mod is close enough that it works.

this inproves your eyesight stat above the normal eyesight level
if you have human eyes that are old, it both improves some parts worse

The latest version of it does allow you to make sharks, so you have a genuine reason to look into it.
