I dunno what kind of god Oculas is, but whenever we rodents seek to manifest the avatar form of Lord Rodent, we just believe in hir and like hir, like really strongly. And poof! Usually we then just watch movies and eat stuff together, with us rodents lying on top of hir.
(I have little idea how that 3D modeling stuff actually works, haha)

I know some Blender, but the specificities required for building avatars are still way beyond me.
For furry VR, I use VRChat and bought a custom avatar from a 3D artist. (They currently have open comm slots by the way - https://www.furaffinity.net/user/furvoc/. Just be aware that they use Boosty.to for payments, which accepts PayPal, but made it a nightmare for me to be able to pay due to some very specific PayPal issues in my country. But those who can pay directly from their Paypal wallet seem to have no trouble.)
Or, you can choose a furry avatar from furry worlds in VRChat! FurHub seems to have the largest collection I've seen so far

The artist I suggested is Russian, which is the reason why they use Boosty. And just now I have learned that Russian translators from my company will not be able to be paid through Payoneer anymore - that was their last payout option left
