Question about seller for suit

So a few months ago now I ordered a partial deciding to make the plunge and get the ball rolling. I was quoted 6-8 weeks for completion and they were super helpful and polite and answered all my questions. Once I was paid in full they told me they would update me regularly.
A week later they said they had to order fur because they didn't have it ( a common color) and it would be a little bit longer..ok fine. No response from them. Three weeks later I asked for an update to which I was told nothing yet. Three weeks later again I asked for another update and they dodged all questions about updates but finally said that the fabric was coming in that day.
A week later I asked if It came in and they said nope maybe next time. So we're already past time for completion by now and nothing. A couple of weeks later I asked yet again and they basically said stop asking we'll tell you when we start. I checked today and my estimate is now February, changes each time I checked, yet they keep selling more and pushing more sales. I did my homework and picked someone with multiple perfect reviews and great feedback. I've tried to be nice yet I'm not waiting a year for something I was quoted 2 months on originally. I'm ready to ask PayPal to get my money back pretty soon as it's going to be 4 months before I know it I mean should I be pissed or ??

I think you have only 180 days to report a seller to PayPal.

This is why scammer fursuit "makers" use PayPal - just put you off for 181 days, they're in the clear with your money and you can't do anything about it. Anymore, you almost need a lawyer to write a contract and keep all transactions to less than 5 months. No action by the builder for 5 months, you go to PayPal and dispute.

You can also dispute via your bank if it's ever past the time when paypal can dispute, if you paid through a debit/credit card attached to the account!

good to know, If I don't hear anything from them in the next couple of weeks I am going to start getting my money back process. The thing is this isn't a cut rate maker, they have 50+ sales and have made a few more in the time I have commissioned them, their reviews were all perfect, I managed to message someone who had bought from them and they had nothing but great things to say, and got theirs in a few weeks ahead of schedule, yet for some reason they are acting like I don't exist when I ask about the product I paid for

The thing is, are the other things premade or custom as well? Premade items are easier to have good experiences with due to the nature of them as a whole (already done, just needs to ship), while custom items have a lot more potential for things to go wrong. Regardless of how they treat others however, it doesn't excuse how they treat you

nope it's custom made, all their stuff is according to them, they were just acting like regular blue fur is impossible to get
