Hi! just out of curiosity, I have some questions about fursuit whiskers since I plan on making a cat fursuit (who is an oc and not a fursona) as my second fursuit :>

I was wondering what materials are made for fursuit whiskers? Has anyone made them with scoubi strings before? Is scoubi strings even a good idea for whiskers? How do you colour whiskers without the colour coming off? What's the best way to secure the whiskers onto the snout/muzzle?
I'm mainly interested in whiskers with colour as I kinda prefer them over the clear kind

I am a fragile person. Please be nice, don't be mean

I've seen a range of things used. There are also a bunch of fake whisker makers on Etsy as well as people who vendor real ones there.
As for using scoubi, i think unless your doing a whimsy character, it would look and move unnaturally and probably bend oddly.

Heavy gauge mono filament fishing line works well, or heavy weed eater string. To color the line, you might try using sharpies. The alcohol based dye makes the color absorb into the string. I think scoubi string is too floppy.
