Would be nice to filter the shit from the good, because there is a lot of shit.
But, you'll notice how you can get really nice bits of art with very few views and no comments or favourites, and a badly drawn bit of porn raking in dozens of "yiff this is so good" style comments. You'd end up with terrible stuff given good ratings regardless, making the whole system irrelevant.

As said this will not be used for its actual intended purpose. Artist Favs will be a big factor.
For the most part I would see most porn art getting good ratings no mater how good or bad it is.
Also clean art getting low even very few votes. Even if it is greatly drawn just cause its "clean".

Experience tells me it's just a waste of time. People vote according to whether they like the content, not according to the quality. As long as the fetishes are generally liked art will wind up with 9 or 10 stars no matter its quality. If a piece is brilliantly done but distasteful it will wind up with 1 star.
Also why 10 stars? Isn't 5 stars the universally accepted best?

A ten-point system with no actual criteria is overkill. But Smelge said it the best -- the chances of it being not used correctly are pretty overwhelming.

Looking at so furry...they give everyone 5/5 ratings on there on porn, I think I made one artist rage when I gave their porn a 2/5

There is no 'chance'. It would be. No question. The site is one step away from being a full-blown social-networking site. Half the time the art is secondary to who you know and how many you know. The other half of the time, it's down to drawing porn. There is no way a rating system would be used for anything but asspats and brown-nosing, without having some kind of balance to it. Possibly restricting how many times one user can rate another user. Giving a certain amount of rating stars available per 24hr period (Say 24 stars allowed per day, resetting at midnight. Then people have to think about not just giving everyone they like 10 stars). But, even putting in stuff to balance it, you'd end up with people multi-accounting to inflate their friends egos.
No way would it ever work.

I think a "reaction" system would be better than a star-rating system.
Like: "Amazed!", "Inspired", etc
I don't even think I like that sort of thing, but when it comes to rating things, people seem more likely to go all-or-nothing so as to show their support/disapproval.

I know that when you give people a form where you have to tick a box on each line corresponding to 1=Poor 5=Fantastic, people will almost always tick 1 or 5. Occasionally a 3 will appear.

I'm also forever embittered by "center" answers. Some years ago, I didn't get re-hired by an employer because my answers seemed indecisive.
Lesson learned: Always Completely agree or Completely disagree. Never Maybe.
And then if I ever rate a thread it's, it's a 1 or 5 stars.
Upvote/downvote has it right most of the time.
Or as with Newgrounds, have a system where you can't see the score right away without voting (at least on submissions pending review, there), which encourages people to vote more wisely.
This turns a "this submission is over/underrated" situation in a more acceptable "there's some good and wrong to this, so middle answer".

This is why rating systems on art/story sites rarely if ever work out the way they ought. Who cares if the art is actually good? If the theme is agreeable it gets a 5/5 or 10/10 or what have you for "I came". If art is going to be judged it should be judged on artistic appeal, not on whether the viewer approves of the theme or subject matter.

I agree that ratings will reflect the content, not the quality.
Two drawings of a hyper-dragon/fox/octopus crossbreed getting inflated while being sat on by a giant mecha.... one good and one bad. I'd put money down that they would get the SAME rating because people will be voting on content not quality.
