Quite a vicious little booger.
Now, I know I'm going to get the typical "Just block them" stuff, but my question is a little more than that.

There's someone on FA that publicly bashes artists and people for drawing female artwork. Being a female myself, I find that incredibly rude, especially with this fandom being mostly gay guys. I've noticed a LOT of female/straight haters on FA, and it's frustrating, but no one seems to be doing anything about it. Gay guys will comment on artwork with comments like "Oh.. Too bad it's a girl. If it were two guys I would like it. Unwatched." or something like that. I recently talked to someone who publicly bashes the "Project Girl Love" group, and says ON HIS PAGE:

"HATES: ANYTHING F/F related. F/M, F/F, Female tickling (There's way too much of it, not enough male tickling -_-') PEOPLE WHO DRAW OR COMMISSION NOTHING BUT FEMALES."

Now, I know people are entitled to their own opinion, but Jesus on a jelly biscuit. This guy's ridiculous. He posted a journal asking why people are so butthurt about gays commenting with stuff like previously mentioned, and I simply said "Because it's rude. It would be like someone coming on your page and saying "TICKLING IS A STUPID FETISH AND YOU'RE STUPID FOR LIKING IT." That would piss you off, right? Yeah, well that's how we feel we when get gay guys commenting on our M/F or F/F stuff saying they wish it were guys." And now I'm being called a bitch for giving him an explanation.

What would you do in a situation like this? How does it make you feel to know that there's this much female/straight hatred on here?
Personally, it frustrates me, but who am I to have an opinion?

Just grow a thicker skin. Chances are, everyone thinks he's a retard. If it really matters to some people, they can simply just block him.

It's probably just best to file a trouble ticket and screencap the guy's behavior without getting involved (it'll just escalate the situation). But yeah that is pretty stupid. Suggest to the Girl Love group that they block him though. It's not good or productive to have a back-and-forth dramafest.

Yeah, I've had a few comments similar to that. I just think, "lol furries" and move on. You come on a site as large as FA, you're bound to run into some crazies.

If he does it, laugh at him and report him. It worked for me on dA. You can also post comments like "Do you need a hug?" That worked for me, and the troll I used it on had to block ME instead of the other way around.

How is saying "do you need a hug" going to stop a troll from doing what they do? It's pretty difficult to get back at a proper experienced troll who knows what they're doing, anybody who gets butthurt over that are just idiots.

He was a shitty troll. I didn't sound butthurt (just amused), and I think I handled the situation fairly well. He was easy to deal with. Also, saying something like that tends to throw them off. They won't stop trolling, but they will fuck off and leave YOU alone.

It's quite simple: Don't waste words, just a simple phrase that shows that you don't care what they have to say. If he comes back for more, mark his comments as spam, report him, BOOM. Pretending to coincide their "points" also throws them off.

It really doesn't. Good ones don't get hurt over something as stupid as "do you want a hug". How does that even warrant as a proper insult?

Not an insult, just something completely unexpected. If you are trying to insult a troll, you will lose. If you surprise a troll by "agreeing" with them or saying something unexpected, you're better off.
