Savannah Furmeet?

Hey there guys, I'm really new to this community, but I do have a friend who's been here for a while... She and I have decided to try and host a Furmeet!!

It would be in Savannah, Georgia on May 13th 2017 at Forsyth Park.

This is a pre-ad because I want to see if anyone is interested.

You guys can crash at any of the hotels nearby if you come from afar... Suiting up is completely welcome and even encouraged. We'll have water supplied but you'd have to bring about $5 (per person, please) so that we can buy food.

The park is huge so we can all just run around and be weird; there might be a dance competition b/c why not? I'm also gonna bring my camera to take pics but I cannot guarantee that they'll be professional quality

Have you discussed this with the park authorities yet? It would suck to have no location when you thought you did... IDK. I'm too damn new, and airfare is expensive for Trans-continental flights in my area

Sounds fun! We are outside Atlanta, so we're only a couple hours away from Savannah. But I believe that is the weekend of MomoCon in Atlanta. We already have tickets. We went last year, and it is where I discovered what a Furry is. Didn't take me long to realize that I AM A FURRY!!

Actually, Momocon is May 25th-28th!!! We want to make sure that our meet doesn't interfere with any cons!

Forsyth Park is completely open to any (legal) activities that citizens want to hold there. Plus, it's freaking huge and has 2 playgrounds so we have plenty of area to run around and goof off

Okay, just checking. Where I come from, the parks division RCWs are more confusing than LAX on Christmas whilst under construction (and yes, I've done that)... Good to know that some parts of the country aren't as fucked up as others

I lived in Savannah (Pooler, HAAF) from 1999-2014, and never seen a single fur.

well dang. I live here full time and I found out SCAD has a furry club. they apparently last met in 2015. Thank I hope I can find some locate friends.

SCAD would definitely be the place to harbor furs. The rest of the place has went to crap. That's why everyone was moving outside of Chatham county.

It used to be decent until around 2002. Then the garbage started spreading. I ended up all the way out in Bloomingdale before I left. At least I didn't have to think about security out there.

This is a city I've always wanted to see, someday.

It's funny; I've read a good deal about it, seen a lot of pictures, and even did a RP where Simo is living in a shack, in this marsh outside of town, running from the law...so it's odd: I've explored it in RP, right down to the names of parks and streets, so I feel as if I have to actually see it someday : P

I am told it's like Charleston, but a lot better, because Charleston has gotten so rich and snobby and expensive, it's just not much fun, anymore, by a co-worker who lived in both cities, recently.

Well, maybe one day I'll walk down, hop the train, and visit. There is a direct train to Savannah at a station a mere 15 mins from here : ) When I have the money, maybe I'll just have to go.
