Good point. I've also read some reviews complaining that the game doesn't apply principles of natural selection realistically.

Spoof or not, whoever put up this site needs a different hobby. What I've seen of the game, it looks interesting, but I'm not into gaming, and it's still very new. Better to wait and see what happens to it, when people start to play it in more numbers. I've heard good and bad about it, when it comes to gameplay and stuff. Still, looks and sounds like fun....

You know what's funny? I just read an article somewhere else saying that Spore angers atheists, because it promotes the idea of Intelligent Design, and because there are religious aspects to it, including conversion of other species, using some kind of holy smite to wipe something out, whatever.
