Should "Ponies" become a community of it's own?

How about NOT being intolerant regarding choice of species/sub-fandom/etc. There's plenty of that going on outside the furry community directed towards said furry community as it is.

I don't really care. They can stay, never had problems with bronies and consider it a subcategory anyways. Don't see the negativity towards them, either. Just me doe.

Aside what I said, this damn well sums it up.

Because furries think they are so special that their shit smells good enough to eat.
But it happens regardless of what goes on in and out of the fandumb.

I'm gonna say it, but I probably shouldn't.
Furry 'and' Brony, but the two are kind of separate for me anyway. Think segregation of these types of things should be left to the individual.
Anyway you have to click to see any of that stuff, that's how it works. You no like, you no click.
I know there is a lot of Brony hate here but really, this is an actual thread?

I've used this site a few times, once in 2009 and again last year and this, and I have not yet felt the punchbagness. Maybe I'm lucky.

Being a Furry and a Brony, I can say that yes there are sites dealing with ponies. In fact there are several sites that are for fandom news, art, fanfiction, role playing and conventions. I'm not sure Vgmaster9 what you are asking. If you're asking why ponies are on furry sites like here, my response is why not? The furry fandom is probably the most open fandom for the expression of art. We have everything from normal looking animals that happen to talk to cat girls from Anime so ponies would definitely fit into that spectrum of acceptance as they are animals with many human traits.

As far as groups dedicated to certain species of furries, I know FA doesn't have many groups but on DeviantArt there are groups like these for feline, canine, equine or any other furry type.

Wow. You guys really hate ponies...

Honestly, the community of people that are both bronies and furries at the same time are the nicest to me of any fandom. MLP introduced me to the furry fandom, so there's that too. Why can't we all get along.

Bronies has this really peculiar habit of finding something that is popular and then attempting a hostile takeover in a zerg rush like fashion. Team Fortress 2, Deviant Art, Every single meme in existence. I gets a tad annoying after a while. True, not all bronies are trying to cram magic down your throat. But the ones that do, hit hard.

That's true - but it didn't used to be that way. That's just sort of something that happened over time with more younger audiences and such coming into the fandom.

Then again though, don't furries do this too? Maybe it's calmed down over the years, but I still see a ton of furs in TF2, memes, and dA. I wouldn't call it a "zerg rush" but they're still abundant.

number of estimated furries in 2011 : 60,300 (http://adjectivespecies.com/2014/08/28/more-or-less-how-many-furries-are-there/)
number of estimated bronies in 2014: 7 million (it's probably more like 2 million) (http://herdcensus.com/generalsurvey.shtml)

The furries do not have the manpower to be that annoying.
Bronies infect every single meme with magic. Furries only make memes that have Fox McCloud and Krystal in it (ok that was a exaggeration but still amusing to type).

Which is exactly why people also hate(ed) furfags so much like 5+ years ago, they were obnoxious, everywhere, and frequently melodramatic and generally creepy. Bronies are basically an "upgraded" version of furfaggotry. I mean...

Everything they do is inherently creepier since everything ultimately has to connect with something made for little girls.

They're bigger so they're harder to escape.

It's easier to make a shitty OC.

As oppposed to furfaggotry where autistic obsessions where scattered among 1000 different subjects, everything is concentrated like a giant laser beam of sheer autism.
