Siblings

Siblings, majority of us have them. We share good and bad times with them. They can also drive us crazy, yet in the end we learn to love them all the more.

Memorable moments, anyone? Likes or dislikes they do that make you feel appreciated or just drive you up the walls?

For me, I have several siblings and what always drives me crazy is the constant arguing, the fooling around when it's time to get serious about something, and the attitude they throw at me from time to time. Yet they have always been supportive of me and often when things become too much as the eldest, they tell me to take a break and offer to help.

All I can think of off the top of my head is when my little brother almost got killed by a boulder. Funnily enough, it messed me up more than it did anything to him.
He didn't even get a broken bone, I had to live with the fact that HOLY SHIT MY BROTHER ALMOST DIED.

When I was younger and my brother smaller, I would pick him up and throw him onto his bed. Like basketball throw. He'd laugh so hard as he bounced around and he'd run back to me saying, "Again! Again!"

I have a brother that is 2.5 years younger than me. We used to fight all the time. I feel like we fought more than normal even for two brothers. However, I went to Baltimore for school and he went to Boston. We actually grew closer over that period of time. Now we are both back in Texas. I'm still doing the school thing and he is working now, but we can visit each other pretty easily, and we get along great now!

I have an older sister I barely see any more. Kinda sad, really. But we got along great as kids, very rarely bickered at all.

That's so sweet. I used to do the same with my sisters when they were easy for me to pick and toss. They also enjoyed it when I would introduce them to old Disney films like The Little Mermaid or Lady and the Tramp. They went completely nuts for Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella. My little brother's just grew out of the the Jurassic Parks Dino phase and are now into Cars.

Same. For some reason, I've noticed that it often takes distance for some siblings to truly appreciate the other's company. Take me and my second little sister. She and I still head but from time to time, but it used to be just like with you and your brother. We didn't see nor speak to each other for an entire summer. Believe me when I say that was the longest summer I ever had.

I have a younger sister that still lives with my parents (I don't.), so I haven't seen her since I was last out there, as it's about 1500 miles away.

We had our ups and downs when we were little. I was an only child up until I was 10, so I didn't really know how to deal with it.

We're pretty cool with each other now, though. Although she can act like the most spoiled kind of brat, sometimes, which pisses me off, because she has a lot nicer things than I did growing up. My dad has a much nicer, higher-paying job (Went from like $13/hr to about $25/hr I think.) and yet she still bitches that she can't afford any nice things. Even though she has an $800 laptop and an iPhone.

Am I the only one here with an older sibling? Well anyways, although my older brother likes to occasionally joke with me verbally (which could annoy me at most times), we have always been there for each other. I honestly cannot think of anyone I look up to more than him.

Well, if you look at the details, I do have one older brother but he's my step. I mean, I always introduce him as my "Brother" though. Then next is me. The my step sister, and my biological three sisters. I also have two half brothers who are toddlers.
I have three other step sisters but I haven't seen then in awhile. Custody, court and stuff. Bleck.

It's nice that that you've have an older sibling that has always been there for you since you were little, someone to point you in the right directions and stuff. I'm a little envious of you for it. :)

That feel when my closest sibling in age is only a year and a half younger than me so I never got a chance to be "the older brother" of the family even though I am the oldest.

I'm the year-and-a-half-younger sibling. .-.
I'm 19 1/2, my sister is 21. She's also bipolar.

I have two older sisters and a younger brother. It's been years since I have seen any of them
and about two years since I have heard form any of them. Since My mother passed none of us
really talked and when I changed they completely cut all ties with me. It still hurts that they were
so shallow and didn't understand. I'm guessing the next time I see them is when my Step Dad
passes or one of them or well even I die.

Ehhhh My sister and I are actually getting along at the moment. We are roommates (for the third times since moving out of our parents house) and it is working out. Our work schedules make it so that we aren't around each other constantly. Before, we were and it would quickly make us fight with each other. Now we are single, living together, and have 5 cats between us. hahaha!

I have an older sister and a younger brother.

My sister is pregnant right now and it's brought us closer. As for my little brother, he is deployed in Afghanistan atm, I miss him. My brother and I used to only fight when we were young cause we always wanted the same things. Our interests and personalities are very similar with only one major difference.

My sis mostly just bossed me around, I think. The things she roped me into were generally pretty cool though; dressing up as Tuxedo Mask, decorating the house with toilet paper...

We're pretty much best buds at this point in life; discuss life while drinking a pint type deal.

I have one older brother, and we go nuts when we're together. We've had a ton of crazy misadventures, but I have my favorites. for Brevity's sake I'll just share one.

While riding dirt bikes in central Alberta, we were being typical male siblings, competing against one another. I was more concerned with his position in relative to mine to watch where I was going, and my bike slammed into a poplar tree, which had fallen onto the trail. I rocketed over the handlebars at 40mp/h, and blacked out when my head was whipped back by an impact. When I came to, I could hear my brother laughing like a maniac, and as I opened my eyes, all I could see was blood. When I realized i was still wearing my helmet, I tore it off, to see that the entire helmet was splattered with the thick red substance. I looked at my brother, wide-eyed, convinced in my confused state that I was seriously injured until he pointed at a mass of twisted feathers on the trail.
"You flew over the handlebars, and the raven! It flew right at you! CAAAAAW! SPLAT!!!"
We still talk about it over beers to this day.

I have a brother who is 13 months older than me. He is incredibly intelligent and much more athletic than I am, but consequentially he is a lot more competitive than I am and gets very easily frustrated, whereas I dislike competition and I am very calm a lot of the time. I have a feeling he is going to be a lot more successful in life than me, but I like who I am.

My brother and I work together, so we're pretty close. He's very business-minded and a great person. I think I'm pretty lucky to have a sibling like him, actually. c:

I've a brother. We used to argue about everything until the age of 15 or so.
Years go on and nowadays we are a pretty great team and agree on things a lot. Could compare us to this

However recently it feels as if I've matured up faster than him and I see the childish nonsensical things he does. Things I used to do, too.
This is breaking the dynamic duo and it sucks.

No dynamic duo is without it's flaws my friend. However, outweighing the pros over the cons is what makes two a dynamic duo in the first place, even if new issues arise through time.

My older sister would scream a lot at me and my younger sister.

My younger sister calls me "retarded" every now and then like it's no big deal.

I have great siblings.

I have a older sister, and when we were younger, we fought allllll the time, it was constant yelling in the house lol but now that we're older, we hardly ever fight, and it's usually because we nag at each other about stuff lol
