Let's say you were someone who wanted to talk about their own weird fascinations on the FAF Forums...
Where would be the best section to do it under?

As soon as my question's answered, I'll be on my merry way and ask for this thread to be closed. Haaa, if only I knew how to do that too.
Come to think of it there's a lot of things I don't know how or what to do on these forums. Still don't quite have the hang of things from a creator's / responder's viewpoint.

Private messages I would guess. You can get several people involved in those and create a kind of "gated community" thread. Just gotta make sure you don't dive off the deep end with people who aren't interested in (or are disgusted by) the things you'd like to chat about. Get a feeling for who might like what and then reach out.

I'm new here and I'm not really sure where everything should be posted either. I'd assume that the Community Discussion is for most things furry related, and the General Discussion is for things that are not furry related. They seem kind of mixed up, though.

I recommend creating/joining a private discord server for this type of stuff

And here's just a few reasons why FAF probably isn't the best place for this..

A) this forum is meant to be PG-13. Not sure about you but a strange sexual arousal to something, isn't really PG-13 content, especially if you go into detail. Though that's just my opinion on it..

B) I, and many others, don't want to see discussion of this shit

C) It's a one way ticket to a dumpster fire thread. Not just that, but also a breeding ground for pure degeneracy (I give it just a few days before we get some TRULY fucked up, and morally horrific "fetishes" dropped in there).

To sum it up, just take it to a server. If people are into that kind of nasty shit, they can go on their merry way and announce all their weird fetishes and the like, among friends. This way it's a win-win- y'all get to discuss what you'd like without judgement, and others don't have to see or deal with it

Ginza is right. There are more than enough NSFW Discord channels to prevent any need to display them here. Plus, you can get away with being more "flamboyant" about them, as the audiences there expect them.
