Unrecognized king of crashing into things
I may not be much of an artist, but I'd like to post some of my writing chops here, for your perusal. In my, shall we say, less experienced days I wrote fanfic pieces with some moderate success. These days I've written a few short stories, published two of them, and I like to work on little fragments from time to time.
Sun Dogs, a piece of apocalyptic short fiction I wrote earlier this year, and my second published piece (locally published). It follows a small North Dakota town as a mysterious and vague apocalypse takes place without their knowledge.

In the interest of anonymity I'd rather avoid posting my regionally published short story. But if you want to check out my older works, here's my fanfiction.net account. I haven't been by there in a while. Fair warning: some of my older works are the definition of cringeworthy.

Not sure what to do with my talents around here, but I had one thought: I love brainstorming stories behind species, whether that be evolutionary and social history, slice of life, etc. So if anyone wants someone to bounce ideas off with regards to new species, I love talking about stuff like that. Something else I was considering was doing a series of shorts about different species in the fandom. Each of these shorts would be a mini story, a fragment if you will, detailing an event in the life of a character. These stories would show off what the species is capable of, and what a day in the life might be like. Tom Clancy had a similar concept in a series of books about the different branches of the US military. He'd go over systems, tactics, and tools, then write a series of short stories featuring those systems, tactics, and tools in action. That's sort of what I'm looking to do. I don't know, what do you all think?
In any case, thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to putting my creative efforts forward in some capacity here, and I can't wait to get the ball rolling.
