Is everybody else getting those cloudflare ddos check pages every time they navigate to a new page on FA/FAF? Might just be the way my browser is set up but it's making the sites kinda frustrating to use..

I'm all for good security, but I think the attackers have won to some degree if they've managed to cripple the site in that way out of fear..

It's also checking for legitimate sources of internet traffic right? How am I gonna check FA on my smart refrigerator now?

Yeah, I think it's gotten better today now that I've played with it. Yesterday I was getting it every time I followed a link within the sites!
